Hamburger bun with Ankarsrum stand mixer, recipe video

If it's spring, it's a good time, if it's sunny, it's a garden. If it's a garden, then it's fresh air and where you can grill!
Spoil your family by making your own homemade burger buns. Many people prefer the store-bought version, as it is much simpler, but it is also easy to bake at home if you have professional help. Remember, if you make it yourself, you know what's in it and it will be free of all kinds of additives and preservatives.

Ingredients for 8 burger buns:
100 g butter (room temperature)
450 ml oat milk, or any plant-based milk with a neutral taste (if you want to use your own plant-based milk, you can find practical tools for it here!)
1 tablespoon of sugar
11 g dry (instant) yeast
1,5 teaspoon of salt
750 g flour
water to "glue" the sesame seeds / sunflower seeds to the buns

• Assemble your Ankarsrum stand mixer with the 7-liter stainless steel bowl, the spiral kneading hook and the kneading roller, as well as the scraper for the mixing bowl, which prevents the dough from sticking to the walls of the bowl. • Heat the milk to 42°C and pour it into the bowl. Make sure the bowl is not cold.
• Add sugar, salt and mix on medium speed.
• Sprinkle the dry yeast on top and let it stand for a few minutes.
• Add ¾ of the flour a little at a time, mixing constantly on medium, on low level.
• Add the butter and flour.
• Knead first on low, then medium speed for 8 minutes.
• Cover and let the dough rise for 1 hour till rise nicely.
• Place the dough on a well-floured surface and shape it into 8 large buns. If necessary, add a little more flour, but try to keep the dough very soft.
• Place the buns on a baking sheet, cover and let them rise for 30 minutes.
• Preheat the oven to 200°C.
• Wet the top of the hamburger buns a little and sprinkle the seeds on them.
• Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the tops of the buns are golden brown.
• Let them cool down, cut them in half and assemble the burgers!
